Don't let the "digi" part of the name fool you. While digital audio is the main means of recording in the studio, it really is the last step. A host of great analog equipment is used to track, mix and process the audio before it's committed to the digital domain. We like to look at the studio as a marriage between two great technologies – the warm sound of analog with the processing power of editing and mixing digitally on a digital audio workstation, or DAW.
